So Easy A Caveman Can Do It?

Remember the very first Geico commercials spoofing how easy it was to change your car insurance.  The first ones were pretty funny and effective, launching a 6 year campaign with the tagline “So easy a caveman could do it”.  The spots were designed to make people realize that it was super easy to switch insurance companies and save some money at the same time.  At Tour Golf Revolution we see a fair amount of similarity in this when our customers think about starting a golf league.

Saving money is something everyone wants to do, but it just seemed like way too much work to get it.  At Tour Golf Revolution we see a fair amount of similarity in this when our customers think about starting a golf league.  When most people think about starting one, they generally can find 3 or 4 big reasons why they shouldn’t before they get to all the great benefits.

We believe that three common issues are at the root of this thinking.  We have written about a  couple of them in the past few months: 1) Not believing you know enough golfers to get a league going (click here) and 2) You and your friends not being able to commit to play golf every week at the same time and place (click here).  The third may be the most important issue for those of us who are trying to grow independent league golf.  It is the age old saying, “I don’t have time to organize a league”.

There are a few things that create this perception of pain.  There are some daunting looking tasks to get things started like recruiting members, managing a schedule and tee times, and keeping score. It may surprise you to know that there are now some great solutions on the web that have made many of these tasks much easier, and with services like ours you could be up and running in as little as 15 minutes.  Social networking also makes it easy to get other golfers involved in your league.  Even if you start with just a few buddies, if you have them invite others you can get to 10-15 players in no time.

So getting back to Geico, they knew everyone wanted to save money, but didn’t know how easy it could be, right?  Well we know everyone wants to play more golf and have more fun doing it, but they just can’t see themselves starting a league.   That’s where Tour Golf Revolution comes in. TGR will keep your league organized throughout the golf season by managing tee times, handicaps, and scoring.  What used to take hours a week to manage now just takes a few minutes and the responsibly is not just on you anymore as your league members will be empowered to set their own tee times and post their own scores.  Set one up, invite a few friends and watch it grow from a few close friends into something you couldn’t imagine.  So now I’m telling you this, it’s so easy, YOU can do it!
